heyMemo Privacy Policy

heyMemo is an app that saves the things you send it (links, reels, posts, photos and notes) and uses AI to name, tag and organize them so you can find them later. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and how you can delete it.

What we collect

Your account

• Your name and email address from Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple.

What you save

• Links, reels, posts, photos, notes and captions you save in the app, share to heyMemo from other apps, or send to heyMemo's bots.
• Notes you add, and your edits (names, categories, tags).
• What heyMemo creates from them: short names, summaries, categories, tags, locations, and text read from images.
• Your chats with the heyMemo assistant (your questions, its answers and which saved items it showed), so you can reopen them later.
• Products you ask heyMemo to watch the price of, and the prices it finds.

Notifications

• If you allow notifications, a push token for your phone, so heyMemo can tell you about price drops. It's removed when you sign out.

Connected chat apps (only if you connect them)

• WhatsApp: your phone number and WhatsApp profile name.
• Instagram: your Instagram-scoped user ID.
• Facebook Messenger: your page-scoped user ID.
• Telegram: your Telegram user ID and username.
• The messages you send to heyMemo's bots, which we save as described above.

Usage

• Technical records needed to run the service, such as how much AI processing each item used.

We do not collect your contacts, your location, or messages you send to anyone other than heyMemo.

How we use it

• To save, organize and search your items, and to answer your questions in the heyMemo assistant.
• To reply to you in the chat app you saved from, confirming how an item was sorted.
• To keep the service running, secure and within its limits.

We do not sell or share your data, and there are no ads in your feed.

Partner links and sponsored picks. heyMemo is free, and is paid for in two ways that never share your data:

• Some items show a partner link, for example "Find hotels in Goa" (Booking.com) or "Buy ingredients" (Amazon). heyMemo may earn a commission if you buy through it. The link only carries a search, such as the city or dish name; your account, items and other details are not sent.
• Under an Ask answer, heyMemo may show one suggestion clearly labelled Sponsored from a partner business, chosen from the category and city of the items heyMemo found for you. It never changes which of your own items heyMemo shows or what it says. We count how many times each suggestion is shown and tapped, without recording who saw or tapped it.

Who helps us process it

We use these providers only to run heyMemo:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) reads your items to name, tag and summarize them, and answers your assistant questions.

• Voyage AI creates search indexes from your items so you can search by meaning.

• Cloud hosting and storage providers store the app's data and your photos.

• Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger) and Telegram deliver messages between you and heyMemo's bots when you use them.

• Google and Apple handle sign-in.

• Shops you watch prices in (such as Amazon) receive only a short product description, like "Nike Pegasus 41 running shoes", to find the product and its price. Never your name, account or saves.

• Expo (by 650 Industries) delivers push notifications to your phone.

These providers process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments.

Sharing with other people

Your saves are private. The only exception is a shared tag you create or join: the people in that tag can see the items in it, including any you add. You can remove your items from a shared tag, leave it, or, if you created it, stop sharing it at any time.

Keeping and deleting your data

• Delete an item: open it in heyMemo and tap Delete. The item and its photo are removed.
• Delete a chat: in heyMemo, open Chats, then press and hold the chat and tap Delete.
• Disconnect a chat app: in heyMemo, open Settings → Connected apps → Disconnect, or send "disconnect" to the bot. Items you already saved stay in heyMemo until you delete them.
• Delete your account and all your data: in heyMemo, open Settings → Delete account. Everything is deleted straight away: your account, saved items, photos, tags, chats with Memo, price watches, connected chat apps and notification settings. If you can't use the app, email hello@heymemo.xyz from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my heyMemo data", and we'll delete it within 30 days.

Data deletion instructions (Meta and Telegram users)

If you used heyMemo through WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger or Telegram and want your data deleted:

1. In the heyMemo app, go to Settings → Connected apps and tap Disconnect, or send disconnect to the bot.
2. To also delete everything you saved, open Settings → Delete account in the app, or email hello@heymemo.xyz with the subject "Delete my heyMemo data", and include the chat app and the account you used.

We confirm by email once your data is deleted, within 30 days.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Photos are stored privately and are only reachable through short-lived links shown in the app. Access to chat bots is verified with each platform's signatures and tokens.

Children

heyMemo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
